We are a window repair service company who carry out work on most types of windows and doors in and around Wiltshire, Somerset and surrounding areas. Our company have been trading since 1985 and we have been repairing double glazing since the early 90's. We have worked on many window systems during this time and can therefore confidently say whether or not your windows are repairable!
On most occasions we can save you money by doing small repairs to your windows and doors to save them being replaced, There are a lots of window firms around that will tell you that certain products and parts are no longer being manufactured. This is true in some cases but generally there are parts available to us which will be suited to the window system you already have installed!
Condensation
Condensation is something we all suffer with in our homes, We have seen a rise in condensation due to our houses being more and more insulated and heating only going on in short bursts, the key to cutting down condensation is to ventilate the window which will naturally be the coldest part of the room along with heat from a radiator below the window, as the heat rises an air vent blows the cold air around the window and refreshes it with warmer air from the radiator, we need to keep refreshing the air to keep the moisture down, this is something that is practiced in new builds today, you can add vents to your windows by using a vent system called Brook-vent, this is a clever design which allows you to fit a vent in most types of Upvc and aluminum windows.
